Focus: The psychology, slow dismantling of the home.
Abuse, doesn’t usually start with a loud explosion. It starts with the blinds. It starts with a question about the That took too long or why you’re looking out the window.
In my house, the “monster“ didn’t move in all at once. He took over one ordinary object at a time:
• The Keys: No longer a tool for travel, but a symbol of permission.
• The Phone: No longer a connection to the world, but a tracking device for suspicion.
• The Basement: A place where fear followed me down every step.
If your home is becoming a place, you are trying to survive rather than you’re trying to live, Your body is telling you the truth You aren’t too sensitive. You are living on a battlefield that looks like a room.
The Warrior Lesson: If you’re walking on eggshells, it’s time to stop worrying about the noise and start wondering why you’re barefoot in a minefield.
